“I wish somebody would!”

So alot of cats talk about being revolutionary. But Ms Aung San is actually doing it. Even more badass is she is not hiding about it. Now i know i don’t know the entire politics of the situation, but i’ve read enough to understand that the Junta don’t take no mess. (Remember the Saffron Revolution crackdowns.) In fact, up until recently they didn’t take anything; criticism, surveys, protests, aid, time for the people – you name it.

Ms Aung San is the leader of the National League for Democracy which was elected to power in 1990 and quickly deposed by the military junta. She has never promoted violence but continually stood in opposition to the junta. Awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1991 she has been under house arrest on and off since the election. Yes, they’ve tried to kill her. Yes, they’ve attacked her peoples. And yes, she is openly continuing her struggle until democracy is achieved in Burma. Badass.
