Obama Long Form Birth Certificate

Source: Obama releases ‘long form’ birth certificate

Unfortunately, the President believes facts and a majority of the nations acceptance of such will finally stop the relentless extremists unwilling to acknowledge his eligibility and therefore Presidency. These fundamentalists also known as “birthers” have flamed rumors that Barack Hussein Obama II was born outside of the United States and thus ineligible to be President despite prior presentations of proof.

We will not be surprised if the fanatical birther members chalk this release of President Obama’s birth certificate up as a conspiracy. Donald Trump, don’t quit your day job(s).

George Walker Bush

W:  “…during I arrived in President.”

Ok, so “President” George W. Bush gave his final address to the American people tonight….was I the only one with a glass of champagne? (And I don’t even drink like that.)  It goes without saying that his administration and presidency will be dubbed for centuries as one of the worst, but what continues to amaze me is the consistency of this man’s resolve.  At one time I was thoroughly convinced that not-soon-enough-to-be former “President” Bush was in fact the true spawn of Satan, utterlly devoted to destroying the legacy of this once great nation.  However, I have subsequently been swayed to the truth of the matter; he’s not (completely) evil, but rather is simply one of the dumbest people on the planet.  Unabashed ignorance and mediocrity are okay if your responsibilities are limited to counting blades of grass, but if you are supposed to protect and lead the most powerful nation in the world, said flaws are flat out unacceptable.  He had the nerveeeee to claim that while some may not agree with his decisions, no one can argue with the results.  What? He just sat with Larry King two days ago and when asked if we were ever close to finding Bin Laden, his response was “I don’t know”…

Here’s a lesson for all: something (i.e. another official terrorist attack) not happening since the first time you failed to protect does not exactly correlate to success.  Stay with me, stay with me.  If the undeniable “result” is that another attack hasn’t occurred, clearly you are asserting that the lack of attack is a result of your actions. But how do you reconcile the fact that you never caught the supposed perpetrator of the attack in the first place?  Or better yet, that you don’t even know if you were ever close to doing so?  Wouldn’t it be more reasonable to assume, since you did not stop the first attack and launched a world-wide man-hunt that some 8 years later has proved fruitless, that the real reason an attack hasn’t occurred is that the perpetrator has decided not to attack again?  Couple that with the fact that the two wars you’ve since started and continue have claimed more American lives than the terrorist attack, throw in a Katrina (lack of) response or two, and you tell me the results are successful?  Wow….
George Walker Bush

And speaking of Katrina ‘nem:  was I also the only one who had a problem with the black pew in the front?  Way to be completely unconcerned about a race of people until you were put on blast on T.V. Can we say ‘ridiculous attempt to clean up the blood on your hands’?  Again, stupidity.  In the Larry King interview, when asked what his greatest regret was, he responded being called a racist. Well….  his overture to the black pew showed his insincerity and diminished the accomplishments of these fine citizens.  The feeble attempt was further off-putting because he had the nerveeeeeeee to bring Obama’s good name into his “speech”.  I’m tired of thinking about this failure.  W, farewell and good riddance.

The S-Word

Socialism. That’s right. I said it. I know; I’m a bad, bad girl for saying such a dirty, dirty word. How do I know it’s dirty? Well, because McCain and Palin told me so, of course. Towards the end of the presidential campaign, they started throwing the S-Word around at Republican rallies like an overused yo momma joke. Read more

New Yorker Obama Cover

Seriously…This is News?

The July cover of the The New Yorker printed and rolled out cover  art that’s apparently pissing lots of people off. The cartoon, named The Politics of Fear, depicts Barack Obama and his wife Michelle as a “Muslim” and a militant black woman in the oval office, flag burning in the fireplace and Bin Laden’s picture on the wall. I got a few phone calls from my friends who were upset, but I was really busy yesterday so I didn’t check it out. My reaction? Read more

Du-Rag still from Napoleon Dynamite

“You never thought that ‘Hip-Hop’ would take it this far!”

The other day I was minding my own business shopping for some music (“in the heart of the city” of course), when I noticed this kid looking extra lost. Not my kid, not my problem. I’m sure there was a guardian somewhere in the vicinity. I thought, ‘Hope somebody knows you’re here, kid’ then rolled on about my business. Besides, I noticed him just like I notice everybody. Why? We all new this was coming, for several weeks even. For 14 months, “Ozone Man” has lurked in the shadows and avoided the spotlight, reveling in notion that America once again needed him. Yesterday, Gore finally broke his silence and delivered an environmentally safe speech endorsing Senator Barack Obama. Read more

The Obama Dap (a.k.a. “The First Bump”)

When Michelle Obama gave her husband dap before his speech, it made me proud and further solidified the fact that “YES, a black man has won a major nomination” and thank GOD it was democratic. I want to make it clear that I don’t think that giving someone dap (a pound for the “Southwesternly challenged”) is a “black thing”.

Clinton endorses Obama

“Ain’t no stoppin’ us now…”

In a speech this afternoon, Senator Hillary Clinton officially withdrew from the race for the Democratic party nomination and endorsed Senator Barack Obama. The announcement of today’s speech came only a couple days ago but already much anticipation and even more speculation surrounded the event. Amongst a crowd of supporters Hillary offered the following in her 28-minute address… Read more

Controversial Obama Political Cartoon

(Pictured: Controversial Israeli political cartoon)

In case you were under a rock this week, you should know by now that US Senator Barack Obama clinched the Democratic nomination for president. I, like some other oh, (currently) 18 million or so, supporters sat in sheer jubilance and awe as he was finally able to lay claim to this protracted primary contest against the usually unbeatable and formidable Clinton juggernaut machine. Although this is not the ultimate prize of obtaining the White House, this historic feat is nonetheless completely exhilarating and satisfying. Yet, I am somewhat saddened… Read more

Clinton to withdraw Saturday

Literally, not a moment too soon.

Reports from the Clinton campaign announce that she will concede her party’s nomination Saturday and endorse Senator Obama. A conference call to senior Democrats was among the turning points in her stance. She still has yet to publicly admit she lost the contest. However, Read more
