Have we not been called monkeys for about 4 centuries. I agree that we can sometimes be a bit hypersensitive but this is blatant. I know all about the incident involving the chimp. However, our president helped to write that stimulus bill. He happens to be black . Gee I don't know how we could have ever drawn That conclusion from the cartoon. And let's also bear in mind that In the picture there are two cops standing over the apes bullet riddled body. Think that didn't bring back memories of Amadou Diallo and Sean Bell for black folk who witnessed police brutality toward people of color On a consistent basis. The post was dumb for even alowing this to go to print. What kills me is that white folks called us monkeys and the once we call them on it They say we're overreacting. Thye came up with the slur, not us!! No white president would have been cast in a cartoon depicting him shot and killed that is for damn sure. A story the same week about a rabid chimp pretty much describes how this stimulus bill was put together - Reid (a white dude), Pelosi (a botox chick), and Obama (of mixed ethnicity) put this pile of skat together. Racist cartoon puhlease ... I don't even think it is a matter of hypersensitivity. I smell opportunism on the part of race card sharks and it smells a bit like the stimulus bill ...
